I’m New Here
Thinking about visiting? Visiting a new church can be a bit unsettling. It is our hope that your first visit to FUMC is pleasant and that you feel that you’ve “come home.” If you know you are coming to visit and have some specific questions, please email the church office at email@example.com or call 904-259-3551 and we will be happy to answer any questions and ease any worries.
What should I wear?
We encourage you to dress in whatever makes you comfortable. You will see some folks dressed in their Sunday best, some in business casual and others in blue jeans. Come as you are!
Where should I park?
There are guest spaces reserved for you on W. Shuey Ave, located next to our blue administration building. You can also park in the “pumpkin patch” area located next to the Baker County tax collector and directly across from the churches main sanctuary
What about my children?
At First United Methodist Church of Macclenny (FUMC) we strive to provide a positive nurturing environment for our youth and children to grow in their relationship with Christ. We have experienced staff and volunteers that are dedicated to walking along side our youth and children as they learn about living a faith based life. FUMC is also committed to providing a safe environment for our children and youth and that is why all staff and volunteers undergo an application process and extensive background checks. The youth and children also attend several Christian camps and events throughout the year, as well as participate in mission work in the local community. Below is detailed information about our ministry programs, please join us anytime.
The children’s ministry is grades K-5th. Our Children program is designed to nurture, empower, and equip children to live out their faith.
On Sundays children first gather in worship services and enjoy opening music followed by a children’s moment with the Pastor, then head off to small group together. During Children’s small group, they will discover, engage and share God through a variety of ways. There are timely messages, crafts and ways of serving the larger church community.
Our youth ministry is for grades 6th – 12th and is designed to orchestrate growth, empower and equip young people with tools for their faith walk, and facilitate connecting with God and others. Our youth are led by Mrs. Toni Bunch who has over 20 years of teaching and ministry experience. She is full of great ideas, love and her ability to connect with kids of any age is legendary.
Every Sunday the youth have “Brunch Bunch” which is a youth led worship service that starts at 11:00 AM in the Gathering. This service also includes a delicious homemade (or semi-homemade) breakfast. Come and see what love is brewing!
If you have any questions about our youth program please contact Toni Bunch @ 904-259-3551 or firstname.lastname@example.org …… also follow the youth on facebook.
What about the service?
Please relax and enjoy the either of the services we offer. Services are at 9:31 & 11:00 am. The 11 AM is a blended service of contemporary music and hymns. The 9:31 service is also known as “the Gathering” is a casual worship experience that emphasizes our connection with God. This service also offers a complimentary coffee bar and donuts.
