Welcome to our church home on the web.  Whether you are new to the area, new in exploring the Christian faith, or a long-time Christian looking for a new church, you will find that you're welcome here.

We're a big enough church to have plenty of activities for everyone, yet small enough that we still have the personal touch.

We invite you to drop by and see us at 11:00 A.M. Sunday Mornings at First United Methodist Church of Macclenny.

The keyword associated with the month of November is Thankfulness.   Two major holidays are celebrated this month;  Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving Day.  In the Church we add a third, All Saints Day.   All Saints Day is officially November first, however, our church usually observes this event on the first Sunday of November.  This year we remember several from our church who have gone to be with the Lord.

We also remember those men and women from our congregation who have served our nation in the Armed Forces.  The freedoms we enjoy, and all too often take for granted, are given to us by those who chose to put their personal lives on hold and at risk while insuring our nation remains one nation under God.

On Thanksgiving we celebrate with the five “F’s”: Faith, Food, Family, Friends and Football.  There is so much for which we are thankful this year.   While it has been a challenging year for many, it has also been a year of joy.  Our family celebrated two weddings and a baby as well as the safe return of our son from the Army.

This year I’m particularly thankful for the new ministries started by our church.  I strongly believe that GriefShare and Celebrate Recovery will impact our community for Christ in greater ways than we have impacted our area for some time.  I’m thankful, too, for the vision of the leaders of our church who are taking seriously Christ’s mandate to make disciples of all nations.  As we reach out with God’s love through “Salty Service” we will become the salt and light Jesus commands us to become.

Thank you for all you are doing and being for Christ through the ministry of First United Methodist Church of Macclenny.  God is good all the time; and all the time, God is good.

Prayer is important!  Through prayer we let God know of our needs, and let Him know of our concern for others too.  Please click here to go to the Prayer section of our website.
